PGEU is an independent not-for-profit association representing the interests of European community pharmacists, registered under Belgian law as an AISBL (Association internationale sans but lucratif), company number: 0468 971 838.
In 2026 PGEU operational income amounts to 851.500 euros.
The budget is devoted mainly to the core activities of the organisation:
- Providing support, information and advice to PGEU members on EU policies that have an impact on community pharmacy
- Promoting the key role of community pharmacists for patients, health systems and public health
PGEU is a founding member of the European Medicine Verification Organisation (EMVO) and in 2026 contributed to the operational costs of EMVO in the amount of 58.114.55 euros.
The main sources of financing for the PGEU budget are PGEU member organisation membership fees. In 2026, their contributions represent 97,47% of the overall PGEU budget. The remaining balance is funded by the renting of a space in PGEU premises and by the EU funded project BeWell
